El Reno, Oklahoma, Part 2

While we were in El Reno for our Oklahoma Vacation, we checked out the Canadian County Historical Museum, and found yet another caboose. This one was RI 17209/UP 24627.

After we had lunch as Sid’s Diner (fantastic onion burgers–must try), we went down the street to Canadian County Historical Museum. It was closed, but there was a caboose there that we did not know about. After some research, we found it to be listed as Rock Island 17209. On one side it is also painted as Union Pacific 24627.

We could not get very close to the caboose, so we could only get a few photos. We could also not really see what condition it is in. I plan to contact the museum later to see when they will be open, and get better info and photos.
